Fae Fantasy Sticker Sheets

     Over Christmas break, I designed three sticker sheets for my upcoming comic, The Fae King’s Foundling, the first volume of which I plan to launch on Kickstarter later this year. But before jumping into a massive project like funding a comic, I thought I should gain some experience in crowdfunding and decided to launch this smaller campaign to get these adorable stickers printed. Meet The Stickers

The hounds of Pelé-en-Dok are large, frightening, and black as night. They are the harbingers of death, but Mushroom just sees them as her fluffy friends. She names them November, North, Nana, and Nocturnal Abyss.

Meet The Artist

     Yo, I’m Meghan, writer and illustrator of novels, comics, and comic-novel hybrids. I love the dark and the quiet and the cold, the odd and macabre, but also warm cups of tea, cozy fires, love, hope, joy, faith, and family. So I write dark, but cozy fantasy that explores the beauty found in both the night and the day.

The Story Behind The Stickers

In a world where the fae are life, and death is their antithesis, Bin-rot, the outcast faery king of decay, stalks the veil between life and death. It is there he finds a cursed human child, one who has been marked out by the Demon, the scourge of the fae. He should have left her to her fate. He has no claim over her. But he steals her away to his realm and seals her under his protection. The Demon, however, is not easily thwarted, not even by a faery king, and he will have the child’s blood at any cost, even if it takes 100 years to find her

Rewards

     It's important to note that there may be some minor changes to the design details, colors, and print/size specifications, but these are pretty close to what the final designs will look like.

Shipping

     To keep shipping costs low, all rewards will be shipped untracked via USPS  Forever Stamps. I cannot guarantee a refund on any rewards lost or damaged in the mail, but feel free to contact me about any problems concerning your rewards and perhaps we can work something out. International backers will be responsible for paying any VAT, customs, tariffs, or other taxes and fees required in their country to receive their package. 

     To start, I will have shipping open to the US, UK, Australia, and Canada as these are the places I have successfully shipped to in the past, but if you are from any of the 180 countries that qualify as listed on the USPS website and your country is not under trade embargo by the US, feel free to message me and we will see about adding your country to the shipping list.

Environmental Commitment

     I aim to ship all rewards using as little plastic/chemical-based packaging as possible and to reuse shipping materials that I have received over the years or bought at my local thrift shop. These include kraft paper envelopes, wax seals, washi or kraft paper tape, and tissue paper.

     Vinyl is not ideal for the environment, but as of right now I do not have access to a better option. To combat/lessen the potentially negative environmental impact these stickers might have, I aim to have them printed on the high quality vinyl with protective laminate so that the stickers last a long time and don’t end up in a landfill anytime soon. I am also looking to use a small, US based printer to lessen the carbon footprint and to support small businesses.

     The earth was one of God’s first gifts to mankind, and I want to do my part to steward it. These actions may seem small, but as a wise wizard once said, “It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay; small acts of kindness and love.”

     No AI was used in the creation of this campaign or the artwork. Zero. Zip. None. 100% human made and drawn by hand on my tablet using Procreate.
