At Dufowoodworking, every pen begins the same way: in a small garage workshop, with the smell of fresh-cut wood in the air and two sets of hands working side by side. We’re a father-and-son, veteran-owned, woodworking shop built on patience, craftsmanship, and a love for making things that last. What started as a simple hobby in the garage slowly turned into something more meaningful—an opportunity to create handmade crafts people use every day.

Each Dufowoodworking pen is carefully handcrafted from hardwoods that highlight the natural beauty of the material. We pair those woods with high-quality pen kits sourced from Lee Valley, a company we trust for reliable components and precision hardware. From selecting the wood to sanding, finishing, and final assembly, every step is done in our garage workshop with careful attention to detail.

Our first Kickstarter project showed us something powerful: people truly value handmade craftsmanship. The support we received encouraged us to keep going, improve our process, and expand our designs. This second project is about building on that momentum—introducing new wood varieties, refined finishes, and pens that feel even better in the hand.

We believe the only surprise you should get is the beauty of the wood when you get your reward. By including worldwide shipping in your pledge, we’ve eliminated hidden fees and complex calculations, so the price you see is exactly what you pay to get this piece to your door (except for taxes, customs and tariffs - those are not in your pledge and are handled by Kickstarter and shipping companies directly, they don't go through us).

The Pens

Atracia rollerball or fountain pen

The Atracia rollerball or fountain pen offers a treaded cap with threaded pen end so you can keep the cap on the pen. It is only available in gunmetal finish with your choice of wood. The fountain pens come with German-made iridium-tipped nibs. The rollerballs come with a Schmidt 888 Safety Ceramic Rollerball.

Magnetic rollerball or fountain pen

The Magnetic rollerball or fountain pen has a magnetic cap that stays put on both end of the pen. It is offered in gold, chrome or gunmetal finish with your choice of wood. The fountain pens come with German-made iridium-tipped nibs. The fountain pens come with a refill and a converter.
