Across Asia — and everywhere — women navigate daily environments where personal boundaries are routinely ignored. Unwanted stares, uninvited proximity, the quiet pressure to make yourself smaller. Most clothing does nothing about this. I wanted to change that.

I am Suzuha. I have lived in 9 countries across Asia, Europe, and North America since high school. Never quite belonging anywhere, I spent years navigating between adapting to my environment and staying true to myself. In graduate school, studying social welfare deepened my awareness of the struggles people carry — especially the ones no system ever addresses. From that experience, HIKAGEGI was born.

HIKAGEGI is a full-length hooded gown engineered for sovereignty. A deep hood that softens outside gaze. Long sleeves extending to the fingertips. A double zipper for freedom of movement. A ponytail-compatible hood. Every detail was designed with one intention: to help you define and protect your own physical space.

The fashion industry is saturated with polyester and synthetic materials that raise real concerns about skin safety. HIKAGEGI is centered on lyocell — a plant-based fiber derived from eucalyptus wood pulp, produced through a closed-loop process that leaves no harmful chemicals behind. It feels like silk, breathes naturally, and is gentle enough for sensitive skin. Because what touches your body matters.

This is an independent project. I am building everything from scratch — the website, the manufacturing partnership in Vietnam, the packaging. Your support, covering two rounds of sampling, international shipping, packaging, and a factory visit for final confirmation.
