Petite Wine Bar: A Tiny Bottle Shop Expanding

Petite needs your help getting a little less tiny! 

Wow, y’all. What a wild ride these past two years have been. When we opened our humble 90-square-foot shop back in 2023 we had no idea what this tiny little space would bring. Thanks to our supportive community, Petite quickly outpaced itself as a grab-and-go bottle shop and is now Seattle’s tiniest wine bar, complete with French-inspired patio seating and two (2!!) stools at our window bar. 

And now, we’re incredibly excited to share our next chapter. With your help, we are turning Petite into a real wine bar (with, like more than 2 seats inside)! This expansion will allow Petite to host larger groups while continuing to serve as a neighborhood gathering place much in the same way we have for the past two years.

The past two years have not been without their hurdles. The wine industry and hospitality in general have been hit hard by tariffs, a shaky economy and a frankly unnerving political climate. And it’s not just us, we know it’s tough out there for everyone. But we also know what can be accomplished with a little help from our friends; you all have generously supported us to get to where we are today. So we’re doing it, we’re asking for your help and for you to be involved in Petite’s next chapter. This is going to be something great, we can feel it.

Our working timeline is dependent on lots of moving factors but we have already begun our first phase as an event space with an open floor plan. This will be followed by more robust construction to build out a bar and permanent fixtures, with the goal of having the space finalized by June 2026. Proceeds from this fundraiser will directly benefit our second phase construction efforts and will help pay for expensive plumbing, electrical, fixtures, architect fees and permitting. 

From day one, it has been our goal to provide a space for every guest to feel comfortable, see familiar faces, make connections and maybe learn a thing or two about this movement we call natural wine. Our community has inspired us to continue to curate an approachable, welcoming and relaxed environment for whatever you need, whether it’s a sunny corner to reconnect with a friend or a moment of peace with a new book. If you’ve stopped in for a bottle, a glass or just to chat, your support means more than you know.
