Rebel Forms: A light feature project fusing Mannequins, Epoxy Resin, Neon Signage, Light fixtures and Holographic light into custom sculptural pieces for walls, lighting and interior décor.

Hey there, welcome to Rebel Forms Fixtures!
This project started when I came across a decorated mannequin. Imagining all the possibilities of working with this medium sparked my creative side. At first, I only decorated the pieces, but then I imagined the end product as a functional décor piece, made for all kinds of spaces, depending on where it would be used or displayed. 

Having previously mostly created digital art, this inspired me to pursue this medium further. It ended up becoming a passion project. I was also inspired to explore more styles and use different media to create unique light fixtures. I approached some potential collaborators and... BOOM, that’s how the Rebel Forms project started. Our mission is to take something ordinary and transform it into a conversation starter piece of functional art. 

Our work revolves around a few elements—Mannequins, Epoxy Resin, Lamps, Shades, Neon Signage, and Holograms woven together to create pieces that lights up any space with uniqueness. It’s custom made art with street level soul. 

Prototype Creations

We built a few prototypes in different styles just to showcase what is possible when working with this medium. The prototypes were built with the absolute minimum of resources. By backing this project, you will help us obtain proper designs, develop different custom forms, and source the right materials to produce uniquely crafted, quality pieces.

We currently use mannequins as the base for the light features, but we will be expanding the range of bases. Check out the example prototypes I just finished — these are floor or table standing features. Dress your base with whichever headgear fits your fancy.

What we are raising money for

We’ve got big dreams, but we need your help to make them real. Here’s what your support will fuel:

• Materials that pop: High quality mannequin and other bases, vibrant paints, projectors, lamps, shades and custom mixed media supplies to bring our visions to life.
• 3D Printer: We’re raising funds to purchase a high quality 3D printer that will allow us to produce our own custom art pieces and prototypes inhouse with precision and creative freedom.
• HVLP Spray System: Spray painting system to prepare canvases, graffiti style pieces and protective coatings.
• Our Own Studio: A dedicated space where we can sculpt, paint, snap photos, and collaborate without limits. This will be the beating heart of the project.
• Workbench and Tools:  Proper workbench and tools are needed to create the pieces. 
• Office Infrastructure: Covers basic office infrastructure like internet, utilities, and essential working tools.
• Web Design: Design and build a full featured website with integrated e-commerce capabilities.
• Subscriptions and Software: We need to stay on the cutting edge of things, for this we need proper design software and subscription based services.
• A Full Collection: A series of sculptural pieces in different styles that mix textured art and light.  A range of art pieces that doubles as functional décor.

We are passionate about building, to upscale, to aesthetically vibe up our living spaces. When you back this project, you’re helping us turn blank canvases into bold statements that spark conversations and inspire. Your support will cover the nuts and bolts, materials, studio setup, web design and a much needed 3D printer. We have done a few pieces as light features/fixtures, using lamps. There's a couple of concepts we are working on using Holograms and Epoxy Resin as the light feature. Currently we do not have the resources to bring this to life, but with your help, we can make it happen.

Headgear 

There will be a variety of concept headgear to choose from.

Resin Heads

• The Epoxy Resin Sphere will be mounted on the head of the piece acting as the light feature.
• The light will shine from below illuminating the crafted resin head with light bouncing of the reflective interior.
• Browse through different categories to choose a style. 

Hologram Heads 

• We use the Sphere lamp to project a moving holographic image into from the base. 
• The projector is mounted within the piece.
• You will receive a device that is pre loaded with a variety of different holographic images, just plug and play. You can also load your own.  

Lamps and Hats

• Mosaic, Bohemian, Victorian - Pick a style of lamp to be your light feature.
• Dress your base with an Edison Lamp and a hat.
• The lamps will be handcrafted unique pieces.
• The hats will slip over an old school Edison lamp, encased in a sphere.

Plant Heads

• Wall mounted or free standing plant feature.
• Crafted pot plant space within the base.
• Use inside or outside plants to vibe up your space.

Pop Culture Heads

• Cult classics lighting up your space.
• Each piece is uniquely handcrafted.
• Retro fuse with a custom base.

Infinity Cubes/Mirror Heads

• Futuristic looking infinity mirrors will surely attract attention.
• Uniquely crafted visual treat.
• Retro fit to mannequin base.
