1. The Tellus Collection

Tellus was born with a clear mission: to be a reliable, tool watch. The design is inspired by a perspective few get to experience: the colors of our Planet as seen from space.

The collection is divided into four distinct quadrants, each representing a natural element of the Earth:

• Silva (Forests)
• Oceanus (Oceans)
• Desertum (Deserts)
• Glacies (Glaciers).

To complete this orbital concept, the small seconds sub-dial is designed to represent the shadow of the moon passing over our Planet's surface.

We didn't just focus on the story; we obsessed over the hardware. Tellus is engineered with premium materials and proportions designed to fit perfectly on any wrist.

The Specifications:

Perfect Proportions: A 38mm case diameter, a highly wearable 44.5mm lug-to-lug, and an incredibly slim profile of just 10.1mm thick (including the crystal). Lug width is a versatile 20mm.

Swiss Mechanical Heart: Powered by the hand-wound, Swiss Made Sellita SW216-1 (Elaboré grade). It offers a rigorous precision of ±7 seconds per day. The movement is beautifully decorated with perlage and Côtes de Genève, fully visible through the exhibition back.

Built to be Used: 100m (10 ATM) water resistance, secured by a screw-down crown and a screw-down case back.

Uncompromising Materials: Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the front, and a second sapphire crystal on the case back.

Always Legible: Generously applied Super-LumiNova C3 ensures guaranteed readability in the dark or underwater.

Tool-Less Adjustment: The solid stainless steel bracelet features an on-the-fly micro-adjustment clasp. You can resize it instantly throughout the day without needing a single tool.

2. The Prototyping Journey

Tellus is the result of almost two years of design, engineering, and prototyping. We had a clear idea in mind: to build a strong narrative that bonded the collection's name with its aesthetics, but we also had to turn it into a physical reality.

So, we started drawing different case designs until we found the perfect balance:

We started from scratch, working closely with our manufacturing partners to perfect the 38mm case and achieve that incredibly slim 10.1mm profile.

Getting the exact fumé effect on the four dials (Silva, Oceanus, Desertum, and Glacies) to accurately represent the Earth's colors from space took multiple sample iterations:

What you see in this campaign are our final, fully working prototypes. We have completed the R&D phase, and we are using Kickstarter to fund the very first production run of this original timepiece.

We also spent a lot of time designing the bespoke FKM rubber straps, which will feature a metal end-link for seamless integration with the case.

4. The Origins

Tempus Sideris was born from the collision of two profound passions: astronomy and mechanical watchmaking. Our vision is to build a horological brand dedicated entirely to the cosmos, exploring the themes of space exploration and, eventually, science fiction through the art of watchmaking.

But every great journey into the universe begins on the launchpad.

Before we look to the stars, we must start with our feet firmly on the ground. Our first collection, Tellus (Latin for Earth), tells the story of our home planet; where everything begins.

The Cosmic Details The execution of the dial is strictly tied to our astronomical DNA. Each dial features a fumé effect, gradually fading to pitch black at the outer edges, a direct representation of the dark void of space surrounding our fragile atmosphere. Finally, the small seconds sub-dial is uniquely designed to symbolize the shadow cast by our satellite, the Moon, as it passes over the planet's surface.

This is not just a watch; it is a mechanical tribute to our place in the universe.

5. Shipping & Timeline
