The Knight of Iaddash - An Unabridged Experience

The Knight Revealed!

My name is Kenny Bechtel, author of the The Knight of Iaddash, a recently released YA Christian Fantasy Novel, which features an original story revolving around a knight, a sword, and a God. While the book is available for purchase, I've partnered with the award winning composer Cory Rosen to turn this tale into something truly special. Together, we plan on turning it into a full length audio drama!

The Audio Experience 

The Knight of Iaddash Audio Drama seeks to create a unique audio experience where listeners can enjoy an unabridged story, performed and narrated by a full cast, and completed with sound design as well as a one-of-a-kind score to accompany the adventure. The project will be funded by backers, and will release on every major audio platform for free, supplemented with ads. That's not to say you have to listen with ads, those who back the project at the $5 level or higher will receive an ad-free version upon its completion! 

The Story: 

The Knight of Iaddash follows the story of Kahsa, an ex-soldier who finds himself at the center of a prophecy given by a God he does not know. Running from his old master Agar, Kahsa finds himself in the Glorybud Tribe and adventuring alongside a cheerful prophet named Agape, and his lovable dragon named Euthymeo. Will Kahsa find freedom from his past, or will he forever be a slave? The answer lies in becoming The Knight of Iaddash! 

Our Goal! 

The start and completion of this project will entirely depend on backers such as yourself. We believe it is very important to pay our cast, and would not be able to make this without them! If this project sounds interesting to you, now is the time to support it! Our goal is to raise $5,000, all of which would go towards paying our cast of 15 people. If we succeed, any additional money raised will go towards its production, kickstarter rewards, and future content!

Why Us?

I believe that Cory and I are uniquely positioned to be able to make this project become something special! As the author, I wrote The Knight of Iaddash and know each of these characters inside and out. I also believe this type of story would be very entertaining in an audio format. Most of books I read are consumed in audio format, however most audio books are read by a single narrator. Not ours!

An idea was forming in my mind, and after hearing some of Cory's work we sat down and began to collaborate our ideas together. Eventually it was decided that this project needs a narrator and full cast, complete with sound effects and a score. Cory has a lot of experience producing podcasts and is a local composer in Lancaster PA who has produced multiple movie soundtracks, including his award-winning work on 'Night Voices.' His connection in the music and audio world has proven vital when searching for the cast, and I couldn't be more pleased to be working with him! 

The Future? 

It's no secret that there is more to the story than is found in book one of The Knight of Iaddash. While this project will only encompass the first book, we'd like to eventually produce it's second book. Any extra money we receive from this kickstarter, outside of making sure everyone gets all their cool kickstarter rewards, will go into the sequel, which finishes the story that is started in book one! 

Additionally, we intend to make this project free to all listeners by using ads and sponsorships. Those who support this kickstarter will receive an ad-free download once the project is ready for release!
